Equine Massage and Chiropractic Services:
The use of chiropractics on equines is a
fairly new method of treatment being introduced to the equine world and it’s
been seen as being quite a controversial subject in some cases. As equine owners and medical professionals
learn more about the many ways equine chiropractics can be used, it gains in
popularity and in many cases, it has become the treatment of choice for a
variety of different aliments. Some medical
professionals and equine owners find it can be a better alternative to medical
compounds such as injections, anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxants and other
substances. Others are finding chiropractics
can successfully treat horses who don’t want to be saddled, are reluctant to
work, or unwilling to bend there neck in a particular direction, or sometimes the horses
head may be tilted at an odd angle. By properly aligning the spine, you can alleviate many, if not all, of these issues and by doing so you will make for a
much happier horse and rider.
Treatment will depend on the type of issues
you are up against, but in many cases issues can be resolved in just a single
adjustment. It is still best to schedule
a follow up appointment within a week, generally, no more then two weeks of the initial
adjustment to ensure the spine remains properly aligned.
Many equine owners have found much success
in incorporating regular adjustments into their normal routine, and by doing
so, horse owners are noticing their animals performing at peak performance
levels on a much more consistent basis.
